What is a Digital Focus Counter?
The Digital Focus Counter is a low-cost mechanical alternative to the electronic DRO. The three-digit counter display allows 10
turns of the shaft before returning to zero. If you want focusing repeatability with an NGF focuser, SCT (Schmidt-Cassegrain
Telescope) manual focus or MOTOFOCUS, this unit will do the job. It is available for all NGF focusers (both manual and motorized
versions), as a manual unit which replaces the focus knob on 8″ or larger SCTs (not recommended for CCD imaging due to space
limitations and problems with image shift) and as a piggy-back option for most MOTOFOCUS units. (The piggy-back option is
available only at the time of purchase of a new MOTOFOCUS unit and cannot be added later.).
