Saturn’s Opposition on March 21, 2010 Great viewing through June |
The Sky 90 is the latest short tube fluorite apochomatic from Takahashi. With a focal ratio of f/5.56 and atube length of 13.8", the Sky-90 is the most compact production apochomat. The newly designed objective delivers very sharp color free images. The Sky 90 is fully multicoated and uses knife edged baffles to produce the lengendary Takahashi contrast. The 2.5" focuser and newly designed compression ring adapter allows the use of any combination of 1.25" or 2" diagonal=ocular combinations. When coupled with the f/4.5 flattener/reducer, the Sky 90 can be used as an astro camera or ultra-wide field instrument. Not only is the Sky 90 an excellent choice for sky viewing, its very short length makes it a portable high quality telescope for birding or for total solar eclipse photography. The Sky 90 fits easily into any airline overhead compantment. The optional rigid soft case provides protection for this 7 lb. instrument. The Sky 90 is truly a compact and convenient world traveler. |
